Default Q's on B16 turbo?

So I have a few questions to ask about turboing the B16A that came in the Del Sol Vtec.
-At how many miles do you consider turboing to be too many miles on the engine? Before swapping in a new engine.
- I'm not looking for hella boost, but what all is 'required/recommended' upgrading before adding boost? (Other than a chipped ECU and larger injectors)
- What's a good/inexpensive turbo kit? I found one on Ebay that looks pretty good, and it's a complete kit. Though it is Ebay, tell me what you think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
-I've heard that some people get BETTER mpg after turbo charging. Is this a myth? What mpg did you get before/after your turbo install.

Lots of questions I know, i'm a noob Thanks in advance.

Dont swap it just take off the head and throw some forge goodies in their!!!

Get a basic turbo setup and tune and you will be fine

SEARCH the HT for used parts that are quality

You can gain mpg on the highway but boost around town and u will be filling up alot!!

if you're wanting to make a lot of power, you're going to have to do some type of upgrade to the internals of the engine (ie. forged rods, lower compression pistons, probably some type of head work). but as far as if you want to keep the engine stock, you would easily be able to run 5-8 psi on stock internals and a nice tune all day. depending on the fuel delivery setup you choose, you could easily see nice numbers and still maintain your reliability as a car you could drive all the time.

If you're concerned about miles and wear on the engine...throw some forged pistons in there. And if you're looking for a good turbo kit supplier, I'd recommend SpoolPerformance...his handle is Project DC2 on here.

Other than that...its all in the tuning. There was an article a couple months ago in Honda Tuning Magazine that had a B16 w/ forged pistons make 500+ HP to the flywheel...they kept stating it's all in the tuning. I think most would agree with this too.

What do you guys think is the best bang for the buck? It will be my DD, so I don't want to get screwed on too many mpg's, but I also want more power, so i'm not sure how much PSI I would want to push. I'm also not really wanting to spend too much money. But I do know I wanna turbo.
If I kept my stock internals, and ran about 8 psi with no trouble, how much hp gain do you think I would get? (160 being stock) Thanks.

run 20+ psi on stock everything.

don't even tune it.

tunes are overrated.

You'll do fine, just fine.

good.

In all reality, a stock B16 with a walbro 255 and a set of dsm 44cc injectors + a good tune will run fine on 10-11psi.

I have a B16A2 stock motor and its turbo with a T3 Turbo in 42 and out AR 48, Its set to run 8 PSI right now and men it makes a big difference, gas mileage is 32 mile to the gallon on the highway, if you want i would put a digital boost controller and set for 5psi locally driving and when racing on the track i will put it at 8 to 10 psi boost, The motor will last long still and you will have to do a good tune.
I use a P28 chipped with chrome software.....
good luck....
