putting my tenzo r seats in my del sol??
ok talking to my local import shop. i was told that if i bought tenzo r seats. that i could put them in my del sol. all id have to do is drill a hole in the bracket to line up with the holes in the seats. ok. so i paid for them. and picked them up today. i decided to take my passenger seat out to see how hard it would be to put the tenzo R seat in. BUT the brackets are completley different. there is no possible way to simply drill a new hole anywhere in the del sol bracket to fit the tenzo R seats. so after seeing this. i went on tenzo R's website. and looked at thier list of brackets. and they dont make one for a del sol. well at least one isnt listed. so how can i mount my tenzo R seats in my del sol with out paying an autobody shop a god awfull ammount to fabricate a bracket? is there another bracket that will fit in the del sol? maybe another brand? also. i need to sit as low as possible seeing as im 6'5". and if im any higher than the stock seats ill be hittin the roof..
ps. i tried the search. and someone asked a simalar question. and there was NO responses. so lets try to help me out here. i need to have my car ready for vegas invasion 5 in 2 WEEKS! and this is really setting me back.

The civic 92-95 brackets should work....Also calling Tenzo would help. On the website the say the make custom brackets too. So you have alot of options if you keep the seats. Civic brackets should work.

ok what you can do is buy the sparco bases for the delSol. then take them to a shop and have them weld two steel plates on the sparco base that are the correct width and mount your seats to the plates and boom your done. i tried civic bases and they dont work without much more modifications. it worked for me and the seats sit as low as the factory seats did.

yeah those will fit!!! i have tenzo rally seats and when i ordered them for a del sol they came in a 92-95 civic box havent put them in but im sure they will fit

no luck. i contacted tenzo. and they said the civic brackets wont fit. and it will take 4 weeks for them to make me custom brackets. which i dont have 4 weeks. i have 1 week before a show in vegas. so i need to find a shop that can custom make me brackets NOW.

thats weird......actually i put my seats in last night! the brackets say 93-97 honda del sol right on them...so tenzo is lieing or something lol....try ebay...i got my brackets off there....the performance shop that i got them from is in florida and the website is http://www.speedzonefl.com

i know you hate this idea ... but if yo ugo onto ebay you can find several seat bracket options on there and if your trying to get the quick thats the best option just talk to the seller and make sure they know to over night them or something Aight man

WHAT HAS EVERYBODY HEARD ABOUT TENZO SEATS...I HAVE HEARD NOTHIN BUT BAD **** ABOUT EM LIKE..THEY FADE QUICKLY..AND THAT THEY OFFER VERY LITTLE ACTUAL SUPPORT..THESE ARE THINGS I HAVE JUST HEARD HAVENT RIDDEN ON EM..JUST ASKIN AROUND CUZ THEY ARE AFFORDABLE..AND ID LIKE TO KNOW WHAT PEOPLE THINK

Sorry to drag an old thread up but...
I have bought these Tenzo Type R seats.
I followed the thread above for making brakets out of my del sol runners and had one all made up BUT the bolts for the seat are to wide for the runners, where the bolt would have to go there is the metal slide mechanism etc.
So i took them to a friend and he has welded in a platform so the sit on top of the oem rails but there are far too high now.
Someone mentioned earlier that civic frames may fit, is this a definate Yes or No?
I need the seats to sit as near to stock height as possible.
Im in the UK so finding help with these has not been easy.
Does anyone with these seats in a sol know anywhere where a bracket or frame can be bought which will allow me stock height?

I have a buddy who has them in his SI. He's had them for over a year, and they haven't faded, but his car is garaged all the time (including while it sits at work).
They are not very comfortable to me, and the hard plastic for the harness passthroughs hit me right in the base of the skull. I wouldn't have spent a dime on them.

I have these on my Recaro SRD's that are pretty similar to the Tenzo seats. They make the brackets for the Del Sol.
