If you have a 96-98 its bolt on just get the front end no radiator core support jeeded. If anything ekse then weld a support in and then put the stuff on

What front end are you putting on? 96-98 or 99-00
What car are you putting it on? 96-98 or 99-00?
If it's not an EK, it's not OKAY just call it a 6th gen or what year it is.

You don't need to swap the coresupport. Nor will it help anything line up better. Assuming you take the time to line things up correctly before you cut the new hole. Sadily, a lot of people are too lazy to do this and just drill the hole.
