PUTTING AC IN MY 95 DEL SOL SI
I just put condenser and and fan and ac belt on my del sol si. It was missing belt and condenser when I bought car. How much freon do I need? I will buy freon kit at pepboys, will that be enough? Its on sohc vtec del sol si. Everything is there, is it easier and cheaper if I have friend put ac then shop? How many pounds or ounces do I need on empty condenser

There should be a sticker on the right shock absorber top area under the hood. If it is 134a, about 23/25 oz including oil. Pep boys etc have cans with a gauge and oil mixed in already, go for the "acrtic freeze" brand. You should evacuate (vacuum) the system to get all the air and moister out, but you need an expensive pump for that, especially if the pipes/hoses have been left open for a long time, replace the drier behind the left headlight, you need to loosen the power steering pump and a 10mm bolt under the wheel well plastic cover to get it out. The drier will cost you $27 and comes with new "O" rings. Do the hard work yourself, then take it to a reputable shop for evacuation and charge.
