Put new distributor in my VX, car nearly stalls after applying gas
I ended up getting a new distributor for the D15Z1 since I didn't realize I had warranty on it, so I put that sucker in, started it up last night just to make sure it started, that was a good sign.
But now after letting it get to operating temp, if I put the A/C on or even apply the throttle while in idle, the idle will drop dramatically to the point of where it nearly stalls. Did I set off the timing on the vehicle after swapping distributors out or what?

So this sounds like a timing issue doesn't it?

I think I got it adjusted correctly without a timing light, but the battery light stays on. I'm not sure why.

The battery light stays on because either your system isn't charging correctly, or the ECU thinks your system isn't charging correctly. Make sure you didn't unplug anything at the alternator, and make sure the belt is tight.
