Pulling to the left on acceleration
Before anyone asks, yes I do need an alignment. I refuse to get it done, as I'll be removing the springs/brakes in a week or so and don't want to have to pay for 2 within 2 weeks.
I've checked the brakes and none of them seem to be hung. My car pulls pretty severly to the drivers side. Could this possibly be caused by failing axles? It only seems to pull under accleration (any throttle, not just pedal on the floor stuff).

I would think that the axles could have something to do with it. Have u checked the joints? Also see if your passenger side shock is bad. Does your car lean to the right when u take off? OT: Why are u selling the beast guy?

Sounds like the outer bearing might be goin out. Check the boot.
Does the car go straight while coasting?
And ya, you're sellin the thing?

can't see a bad axle being the cause of this. when you checked the brakes did you check for any slop in the hub assembly and steering linkage? how does the car react when you first let off the gas and/or brake?

Man I forgot about the brakes.....if they are sticking that could also be a problem.

Thanks. I'll get it to moms this holiday and take a good look at it. It's about 15 degrees right now and that's too cold for me to lie out in the parking lot and mess with it.
Yep, selling it. Time to move on. Was going to sell it to my brother, but now he's gone and wrecked my mom's new RSX (had like 1800 miles on it), so I don't think he'll be able to afford it.
Guess it's going to be sold stock unless somebody on here offers me the right amount of money for it.

I don't believe the wheels being unbalanced would cause a pull to the right/left other than just shaking, especially under load.

Yes, but they'll be getting rebalanced whenever I get back around my mothers. I have a "lifetime tire balancing" plan from Just Tires.

psh. You KNOW those friggin D series axles are not expensive are autozone. Just swap it over pansey!

65 dollars after I return the old ones. The problem isn't getting new axles its in finding time to put them in.

most D series I have ever driven,. with a decent amount of power, usually pull slightly to the left, with hardly any grip on the wheel. I like to blame the unequal driveshafts for this. But depending on the severity(sp) of it, could be anything from a wheel bearing-most likely not tho, to uneven tire pressures as well.
