It didn't take me that long to take my dash out and it was my first time.
Here another link. This one is very imformative.

I've got a leak behind dash
Hello;
I've got a bad leak at drivers side behind the dash. After rainfall i can get a 1/4 " of water at the carpet. i've gotten the dissassembly diagram for the dash. Where should i expect to find the leak? Also is there much dissassembly/disconnection to do after the dash is off?
Besides cleaning the a/c ducts is there any other preventative action i should take whilst i'm in there?
Thanks
