PROTEST AND LETS NOT GAS ON JULY 14TH!!! pass on...
In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices.
Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On July 14th 2007, all myspace members are asked to not go to a gas station in protest of
high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00+ a gallon in most places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the myspace network, and the
average car takes about 20 to 30 dollars to fill up.
If all myspace members did not go to the pump on the 14th, it would take
$2,200,000,000.00 (that's BILLION) out of the oil companys pockets for just one day,
so please do not go to the gas station on July 14th and lets try to put a dent in the
Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.
REMEMBER:
"No one can do
everything
but everyone can do something"

Wow people really dont learn. Boycotting gas for any amount of time will not work. Boycott a gasoline supplier will. Say you boycott conoco/phillips now their prices will go down forcing other companies to lower prices. Now there is a price war. Nobody really seems to understand this and yes it still has its problems which im sure someone will point out, but lets see how long it takes.
Also making a dent in the middle eastern oil?? Do you even know where alot of our oil comes from?

I hate that thing...boycotting won't work because most people don't fill up everyday, me personally I fill up every 10-14 days. Also do you think that the astronomical number that you have posted would be real? the answer is no because like I stated earlier, most people won't fill up everyday...
When will people learn?!?

Re: (uneek360)
-Has nothing to do with Civics
-You don't understand basic economics. You may not gas up on the 14th, but you will gas up on the 15th instead. You aren't hurting 'big oil' by having a drop in sales of .5% the 14th only to have a .5% increase in sales on the 15th.
