Default prospective WRX wagon owner

Need to get a bigger car due to my son and am thinking of getting a WRX wagon. I don't know enough people with Subaru's to get an understanding of their integrity/reliability. The worst I've heard is that they may have a faulty P/S pump. I am looking to buy a 2003 WRX wagon and want real world experience... I know I know, I should look for a Suby board, but I feel more comfortable here.

thanks

Edit: This is most likely in the wrong forum, but if it helps at all, I own a del sol right now, and may be giving it up. Any other suggestions on a larger vehicle? Maybe a euro Accord wagon? (I wish they were availible state side)

I have one. Nice car but I don't like the transmission at all. Not much power unless you get on it over 4.5k so basically it's a dog unless you drive it a little hard.

I'm a 2002 WRX owner (Sedan) and I used to drive a fixed up honda. Changing over to Subaru is an experience and a good one at that. The only problems so far for me have been the early morning/cold clutch shudder which can be fixed at the dealer, but i heard that it doesn't happen to the newer models. And if you like to race alot, usually the first thing that takes a crap is the tranny, i think mainly 1st gear...but i have no first hand experience on that.

Check out http://www.nasioc.com . Very good board with good information to help you out. G'luck bro.
