Default Proportioning valve for a non ABS set up

Is this the right proportioning valve I need if I remove my ABS from my 00 SiR?

That is the correct shape one. Do you know what model/trim it was removed from?

not sure, I just searched it on google under 96-00 civic non abs prop valve. I think my friend has the same one in his ek with no ABS as well. He has a spare he was going to sell me but I wanted to make sure it's the right one before I remove my ABS and start flaring and bending new lines.

Well you want to make sure the one you get is from either an US market Si or any of the US market hatchbacks. Those all share the same part number but are the proper valving for your coupe with 4-wheel discs. The ones from the other sedans and coupes have different valving inside.

I cannot comment on the part numbers from Canadian civics.

Ok thanks for the help!

I would imagine they wouldn't change the valving inside of them for the Canadian versions with disc brakes.

Does anyone have the part number handy for the US version?

The Canadian versions all had ABS and therefor no prop valve (they just have a splitter or dummy valve, there's no actual valve in it though)

But yes USDM CX/DX/HX/Si are all the same. In Canada this would be CX/DX coupe/hatch. There was no HX or HX equivalent here and the SiRs all had ABS.

That makes a ton of sense about the dummy valve now....I was staring at it the other day thinking WTF.

Thanks again guys for the info. I picked up a prop valve from a CX tonight, I wil begin tearing my abs out this week and making new lines for the new valve.

Thanks for the help HT!!

Later,
Mike
