Default Prolly the only ? post thats never been posted.

I was thinking about a dash swap today. i have nasty tan interior in my 4dr and i wanna make some changes. While thinking about it, i came upon a question i couldnt answer.

Is there any way to swap out the heatercore? Are the cores from an accord bigger? Would there be any benifit to a bigger core? maybe faster blower heat on cold starts?

Just wondering, i know its random....

if it dose fit the bigger heater core would take longer to heat up but should let more heat in 2 the cabin the stock one works fine and i have not had any problems

i don't see why there would be a need for a swap to a bigger heatercore. but good question though.

I don't think a bigger heater core will do anything as to blowing more heat. Now maybe if you changed the blower motor inside the car that's behind the dash, maybe then you'd have more heat.

A smaller heater core would heat up quicker, but it wouldn't be able to heat up enough air to keep up with demand. A larger core would heat up more slowly, but with a bigger fan you'd be able to roast a turkey in your drivers seat

you shouldnt need to change ur core.. the bigger the core longer to take up. if u really want to get a newer blower motor it will send in the heat faster than b4.

A heater core is just a small radiator, and the passageways in those heatercores are so small that if it took a small core to heat up in 10 seconds, it would take an entire 11 seconds to heat up a larger heater core. If you wanted more heat and faster, you'd be better off getting a bigger/faster blower fan. Although having the larger heater core with a stock blower would help a little because of the larger amount of surface area you'd be pulling air through.
