Progress Rear Sway Bar for EG
whats up guys, i rarely post in these forums but i'd like some opinions.
i just purchased a progress sway bar, 22mm, for my 92 civic dx hatchback. i have a lower tie bar, along with rear disc brakes, don't have an upper rear tie bar...
anyway, shuold i be worried about ripping the sub frame of my car? i've heard this sway bar can do damage to the sub frame...and i'd like to know everyones experiences with this.
thanks, chet.

i just got off of the phone with progress. they said i should "tack" weld the mounts that are bolted to the subframe.
so thats what i'll do.

What I did for reinforcement of my subframe when I installed my ITR bar was a follows.
1. Take an inner measurement of the mounting subframe area.
2. Purchase hardened washers that fit over the mounting bolt for the D-bracket.
3. Measure out the correct amount of washers that equal the total inner measurement of subframe mounting area.
4. Wrap the washers with Duct tape to keep them in place. (looks like a roll of coins when done right)
5. Install this new "shim" into the subframe and 'bammo', you have reinforced it.
