Problems starting
Ok like the post says i have problems starting my car lately cold bought the car from a guy bout a month ago its a 96 CX. 167000 MI
Lately I've been going out in the morning to start the car and it takes like 5 seconds of turning over to get the car started after it finally starts it idles way up at 2k
about a mile of driving its at a normal idle of 800 RPM cant figure out what the prob is
I dont know where to start and i know for a fact this isnt normal
anyone know where I should start looking?
THX

not the correct oil can cause this in cold weather.
if its cold where you live i recommend using 5-30. dont try the 10-xx. and yea, check all your plugs, wires, etc.

Re: (lv6l)
but that doesnt compensate for taking a couple secons of running the satrter to get the car to startup this is a spark problem most likely right?
Could it be that my timing may be off a little?

if you car has 100K+ miles on the engine then your dizzy goes bad...
Dizzy problems lead to not starting up in cold/hott weather. ***** up your timing causing a high rev at idle, etc. That damn o ring >_<
