Problems with Power Windows (EJ1)
1994 EJ1 (EX coupe)
I have a problem with the power window opening and closing waaaaaaaaaay too slow, or sometimes, not a all. I know it's an old car and there's a lot of wear and tear, but is there anything that can be done short of replacing everything?
looking for a longer-term solution, not just spraying lubes on the tracks.
thanks.

Sounds about a right.

i don't know anything about mechanics. is there any way you can tell me how to go about changing this regulator? does one regulator control both windows?
thanks for the help.

Sure. The regulator is the arm that is attached to the bottom of the window glass and it pushes the window up and down. It's actually a very easy fix. Do you have a service manual?
If you don't, get one. http://www.helminc.com
Now to replace it, you need to remove your door panel (3 screws).
Unbolt the window glass from the regulator rail at the bottom (2 bolts) and slide the glass out
Next, unbolt the regulator itself from the door frame (5-6bolts) and slide it out.
Now cut the wires that go from the regulator motor and splice them on the new regulator.
Install new piece in the opposite steps.

Re: Problems with Power Windows (litterbox)
printed and pocketed.
thanks for the step-by
i think i will pick up one of these manuals anyway, even though most tend to confuse the **** out of me. i think i'm mildly-retarded that way.
i'm going to try this friday.
thanks for the help litterbox.
