Default Problems with my EG (PLEASE HELP!!)

I have 93 Civic hatch VX with a d15b7 block and a d16z6 head. Anyway i remember when i ran my car hard and i would stop in a gas station or anywere and shut my car off, then i would try to restart it again it would start and all of the sudden it dies. Then i have to wait till the car cools and then start it and go. The first time i bought my car it did not have any hydrolic fluid in for the clutch so my clutch began to decrease, then i came to a light and it would not go into gear, i didnt have any money because i just spent $1,500 on the car so i can buy brake fluid to put in it, but anyways it was to late. So then at every place i would come to a stop i would put it in 1st and start my car and then go. When i got home i put DOT3 and got my clutch up and running, then i went to start my car and it died. After that it did not get any spark so then i changed the coil and in the process i saw that the ignition module was cracked but still working. I put everything back into place with the new coil and it started. About a month later the car would begin to die everytime i would try to start it after i ran it. Then a buddy of mine gave me the d15b7 engine and right away we did the head swap and put the distributor from the VX and it fit good. Could the distributor be the problem???

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS SWAP ON A CIVIC VX, THE PISTONS HAVE TOO LARGE OF A DISH AND THE COMPRESSION WILL END UP BEING TOO LOW

could be that

That would suck
Sounds like a possibility

IF you fixed all the problems and whatnot with the clutch and everything else, have you tried the main relay?

I remember starting the car tog o get gas, it made it to the gas station. Then, after filling it up with gas, I tried turning the car on. After 5 minutes of trying I stopped, when I cam back after like 5 minutes, the car started.

The problem hasn't occured ever since I replaced the Main relay. It's around 50 bucks new from Honda if you have not replaced yours yet. Or you could resolder the points on the Main Relay for cheaper.

Here are some sites:

Yes the pgm-fi main relay on that diagram is the one to change. this is your main fuel relay and definatly not an uncommon problem on this year civic.good luck.

I know a real good way to fix it if in fact it's cause the head swap made your compression too low.

Get a turbo kit.

I really think that's your problem though, so you should start buying turbo parts or put the old head back on or figure something out.

i had the same problem with my hatch but the motor i have is a ls and when i was searching for the problem, i found that the coil in my distributor was bad so i changed it. while i was changing the coil in the distributor i always changed my spark plugs and wires also since they were beat.
