Problems with LS swap on EJ2
////UPDATE AT BOTTOM OF THIS POST (NEW PROBLEM, HELP!!!!!!!)////
Hi, I'm doing a 95 ls swap on my 93 civic, it used to have a D15B7, the ls motor came without harness, so I tough I could use the harness from the d15 since both are obd1, but everything plugs fine except for the injectors, they don't fit.
This is the injector from d15:
And this is from the b18:
As you can see the d15 injectors are more squared, and the b18 are rounded.
Also the d15 has a little tab centered, and b18 has a bigger tab and is loaded to the right.
What can I do?
Can I use the injectors from d15 on b18? is safe or I will be running poor mixture?
Or should I stay with injector from b18 and get the engine harness?
////////////////////////////////////UPDATE////////////////////////////////// HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I have new problems:
-The engine is installed, it starts fine and stays at 700-800 rpm for a few seconds then the rpm's drop to below 500, and it seem like it is gonna die
-I have checked all sensors and connectors, everything is fine
-Checked for vacuum leaks and nothing, screwed and unscrewed the screw at the top of the throttle body without any change
-Tried to adjust timing but I can't get it to 16 grades, I advanced the time all the way the distributor let me, it got better but still under 500 rpm's.
-No misfire, just very low idle and seems like it would die but it didn't.
-If I hit quickly the gas it revs fine.
Now I don't know what else to do; if you could help me I would appreciate it

All obd 1/2 B series are 240cc's saturated
All obd 1/2 D series are 240-cc's saturated
All obd 1/2 D series are 240-cc's saturated
Thank you so much, I thought was on mayor problems, and didn't found an answer on web.
I will save that reference page for future problems

That's true, D15B8, D15Z1 and D16Y7 are all either 180 or 190CC.
There's nothing half assed about running the correct injectors. D15B7 injectors are 240CC the same as B-series injectors.

Probly the best chart to follow. And yes that's not half ***, but the information was wrong. That was my main argument

Re: Problems with LS swap on EJ2
Last night cleaned the IAC and it helped just a little insignificantly, also noticed that if I hit the gas quickly it revs, but if I keep the gas the revs go up but then starts to drop at the point that it starts to die.
Today checked mechanical time, I think it is out but I'm not sure.
Lower pulley was aligned on the TDC mark, but upper pulleys don't look horizontal:
Is exhaust side out by one thoot? Or are both out?

Re: Problems with LS swap on EJ2
I re-checked the mechanical timing, it is fine, even when the upper pulleys seems not to be aligned the side marks are aligned side by side, I'm frustrated I don't know what else to do

Re: Problems with LS swap on EJ2
you need to add a nut to your motor mount. in that pic it has 2 studs and i only see one nut. thats gonna cause a problem within itself.
check the throttle cable tension and you may end up adjusting the idle via the idle screw adjuster.

Has to be map and tps the plugs are the same Lol and right next to each other also that one but thing is crazy fix that do not drive it like that! Also its just basically process of elimination go through everything and find the cause.

Re: Problems with LS swap on EJ2
Chipped p28, no cel's
I have present the fact of the nut, will check the tension on the cable, but really don't think it will make a difference, since it is supposed to be tight but not open the throttle to get air, but I will try it anyway
I marked the sensor connectors but anyway I will give it a try

Re: Problems with LS swap on EJ2
I have checked all sensors, I had them marked since before the swap, however I swapped the connectors between IAT and purge solenoid, and between TPS and MAP sensors, both giving me worst results, so I switched them back.
Also it doesn't have the purge solenoid on the top of the maniful so I put a plug on the hole and canister hoses aren't connected.

Re: Problems with LS swap on EJ2
Problem solved finally, yesterday arrived a new ecu with the right map for the ls, it runs smooth, no cel's, timing is right, everything is fine, I'm so happy there are no more problems.
