Default Problems With Hatch, Help Please

my car will start, and then suddenly shut off. upon shutting off, it will not start back up. after a while (5 mins or longer) it will start.

sometimes this goes on and on

help please

Hmm, sounds like something with the distributor. Check the internals of the distributor by removing the cap..

it could also be your alternator. I had to bang mines with a hammer a couple of times.

same problem today

left me stranded at school, had to get a ride down to football practice

after 3 hours of practice it started

my friend said it may be the fuel relay switch?&gt;

Check the internals of the distributor for carbon build up.

Could be a problem with the ignitor, or cap/rotor...

could also be a problem with the alternator charging the battery -- or the battery itself.

Pull your plug wire to check for spark (screwdriver in the wire)...ask for more info if you don't know how to do this...

Also consider a faulty fuel pump or clogged filter... how old is the car ?

Runs strong once you get it going? Do you notice any hesitation during acceleration?

only one time did it not run strong, and that was last weekend

it shook when i drove it, and bogged out

Sounds like you have a faulty fuel pump.
