Default Problems getting interior door handle trim to fit

Just did a power window conversion on my ek hatch and everyhting went well except the last freakin piece. The trim surrounding on the interior door handle isnt fitting quite flush unless i unscrew it. Anyone ever had this problem? When i start to screw it in it starts to gap on the bottom.

i had this problem too when i did my power window conversion. make sure u put ur door panels back in right. just because all the clips pop back in doesn't mean it's in right.

make sure the weatherstrip piece the touches the window clears the edge. if not, the top part of the door panel isn't all the way in which is causing that trim piece to not fit properly.
