Default the worst luck please help

well this is my first post on here. i hope that you guys can help me out and not give me too much **** about it. i hope to stick around and learn more so i dont run into any future problems like this again.
ok heres the rundown. i have a 98 civic lx. last year my y7 took a **** on me and i needed an engine. i figured i needed something low cost and easy to put in. i ordered a d15b last year. since then i have been havin the hardest time getting it to run correctly.
so heres what all is done to it. i have the stock harness, obd converter from boomslang, and a chiped p28. i currently have the car at a local shop. they got the valves and compression set correctly so i know that i have that correct. the problem i now have is that the shop is saying that the ecu is wrong for this setup. i told them "NO this is correct." and they are saying this cause the injectors are stayin wide open and makin it not fire correctly. i am at the point to where i want to walk in and say **** off you dont know ****, i want my car.
is there anything else that i am missing or doing wrong? if so please let me know. i just want my car back and running. end of rant and thanks for the help.

Probably an 02 or ignition problem. What 02 sensor/distributor are you running? Have you wired up vtec?

If you're using the obd2 harness its gonna be looking for an OBD2 dizzy...find a Y7/Y8 dizzy and dremel out the holes so that it bolts up.

What 02/exhaust manifold are you running?

from when i had the y7, i have that damn ss auto... header and full catback setup. with it being on the previous engine i had the second o2 sensor tapped into the bottom of the header. so when i put the 15b in i put that same header/exhaust setup on it.

and i am not sure if or what CELs are showing since its at a shop.

well i have a short update. no cels were showing. they have the car running fine, well that is at an idle.

when they go to open the throttle it wants to bogg out. so tomorrow i am going to have the ecu reprogramed and see how it will run after that.

would it have anything to do with using a z6 dizzy. i didnt think it would, but i'm not 100% sure
