Default Problems with Coilovers Pics inside!!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

I'm cheap ok, college student = not much money to spend....so I bought a set of cheap adjustable coilovers in andysautosport.com .....I didn't know how to install them so I took the car to a shop to get my coils install.....They are install now but at the same height

This is what happened: the guy told me if I wanted to go low...which is what I want....the spring would be lose and is going to be rattleing and making noise, and if I leave it like that I can fck up the suspension and more sht down there ...WTF?? and then he told if I wanted to lower it I had to get some kinda of springs which are smaller to fit between the spring and the red rubber spring gap(see picture below)

This picture is exactly what is happening to me rigth now....if you guys don't get it I'll make try to make a better explanation.

yeah, you got a short spring, and you're going too low.

if you had a reputable spring, like ground control, i'd tell you to ask them for a longer spring.

or if you had a good shock l ikea koni, i'd tell you to put your perch at a higher setting.

but since you have *****, then i ain't got ***** to tell you mate.
get yourself some better equipment my friend.

who ever did the work has never done this before. the springs will not be loose. they are alot shorter than stock, so they do not reach the top of the shock, but once you have them on the car and lower the car off the jack, it will compress everything together like it suppose to be. sometimes you have to guide the spring a little as you lower it, so it sits properly. but once the car is on the ground your fine.

so this is what you need to do. jack up a wheel, take it off, use the hook tools to lower the spring perch to where you want it. this is very easy, you can do it. then lower the car slowly.

Like 2redstars said, it will all compress together and be fine. But if you do have the type with 2 springs and you're missing one, you're probably going to be very low.

word. what kind of place did you take it to? the coilover spring is gonna be way shorter than a stock spring. even a drop spring for that matter. turn the perch as much as you want. lower the car slowly and make sure the springs sitting in right.

make sure you count the turns when lowering the perch so you can match it on the other. what i use to do was lower them all the way down, then spin them back up and count.

most of you are damn retards...the spring only sits up against the top hat when its not compressed if the suspension is preloaded. when the car is lowered and driving it will all compress together. get a new mechanic who isnt dumb and dont listen to ht bandwagoners

Somebody gets it.
Everybody that said that there were springs missing and that was the reason everything was loose.......have you ever done any suspension work?

BTW, OP, your ride quality is going to SUCK, and more than likely your stock shocks are going to blow within a few weeks.

Works definitely knows their Mitsu ****, but they most have had a rookie on your install. Some full coilover setups have two springs to them, but those are few and far between. Yes, the ride quality will get worst over time...but intially you'll have fun with them. Just raise up a side and lower the perches (if they provided spanner wrenches, use them) until happy. Avoid potholes like the plague and be careful when entering lots at varying degrees. Enter them like a low-rider...cross-ways.

Cheaping out on suspension is probably the most retarded thing a person can do to their car. It would be like cheaping out on a doctor and going to a third world country to get operated on, just to save a buck.

Either get something that is quality or dont get it at all. Just because you have no money and are in college doesn't make sense to do something like that. Save up and then buy. Now youre further away from buying some quality suspension.
