Does the CEL work?
If you don't know when the last tune up was, then do one (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter).

Ah yes, the ultimate form of "I'm just going to throw money at it". Why did you even bother creating a thread if you A - aren't willing to follow the rules, B - aren't willing to do simple diagnostics, and C - don't plan on listening to people who give you advice? Don't waste our time.

Does the CEL come on for 2-3 seconds when you turn the key to ON(II), and then turn back off, or does it not come on at all?
Buy/borrow/rent a spark tester, and use it. Tell us what color your spark is. Given your current attitude towards working on the car, I'm going to guess you either bought the cheapest distributor you could off eBay, bought the first used one you could find on CL without half a clue as to where it came from, or drove to the nearest parts store and bought whatever they had in stock. Did you replace the distributor with a new OEM unit, or one of the other aforementioned options?
Have you done ANY diagnostic tests at all?
