Default Problem Starting

I am new to the forum, and since I am a trial user I only have 5 posts so I am going to include as much information about my problem as I can. I have a 95' Del Sol Vtech DOHC. I have about 135,000 miles on it. It is the limited edition green isle pearl which they only sent 500 to the US. The other day I was driving down the road and it started running real rough. Then the more gas I put in it, the slower it got until I pulled of to the side and it just shut off. I had it towed home. I was thinking it my be my fuel pump or fuel filter but I checked them and the fuel is flowing fine. So I took out a spark plug wire and tried to see if it would spark but it didn't. None of them did. I replaced my distributor cap and rotor and that didnt help. My mechanic said that hondas have a common problem in the distributor. I think he said its a bushing or something, and that it is easier to replace the entire distributor. Before I go and sink 300 dollars into something I cant take back if that is not the problem, I thought I would ask here. Thanks a lot.

Check the ignition coil and the ignitor inside the distributor. Those are the most common causes of a no-spark situation.
