problem with over heating and more........
hey whats up... alright when i got my car it had a new radatior put in it to solve my overheatin problem.... ok.... so im driving down the road and i notice that my temp level goes up to its position which on my car is right below the half mark...ok....so now i see it going past the temp level and so i put my heat on (sucking air in from outside)... and it goes back down below the half mark... so today i replaced my thermostat and now my car is reving up by itself at 1000-1500 rpm......... and i cant figure it out.... its not a head gasket b/c im not blowin blue smoke or anything and i dont see any brown stuff... so yea... and i just took my new t-stat out and made sure it is in th right way... havent started back up yet i was just seeing if i can get sum help.... and why is my car reving up by itself in park or nuteral..(automatic car) right after i replaced the t-stat(this is yestrday and its still happenng) please help!

you need to bleed the air out of the cooling system. there is a bleeder screw (right next to the thermostat on my b16) to get the air out of the coolant in the head. just start your car, turn your heater on high, and loosen the screw till a solid stream comes out. you will probably want to top off your radiator after doing this also.
