Default Problem with my horn.

I have a 2000 Honda civic DX, and last night something went totally wrong. I pushed the horn and it got stuck on, it was on and blaring in the parking lot for over 5 minutes, untill I could pull the fuse out. The problem is that the fuse controls the horn and brakelights, so i dont have brakelights, meaning I cant drive car now. My question, is where is the actual horn located on the car and how do I disconnect it, so I can put the fuse back in. I dont mind having no horn, just want brake lights. Thanks in advance everyone.

its inside your steering wheel. your going to have to take the srs airbag out and look at the horn button inside. its probably broken or mess up. first you have to remove the two covers and take the two screw, 1 from each side off the steering wheel. (there the star kind) than remove the air bag, dont forget to remove your negative battery first cause you dont want that thing blowing on you. than once you got the air bag out look at the horn button inside.

Well, without doing all that, cant i just go to the horn under the hood and just unplug it? Then pop fuse in and brake lights work again?

you can unplug the horn in the front. I forgot where though, think its in the passenger side behind the bumper.

will have two wires connected to it. it is round in shape like a disc. black metal disc. will be up front and probaly inside the wheel area between wheel lining and front bumper corner

did you try pushing the horn buttons with a little more pressure then normal to possibly readjust the button? then try rotating the horn button forcefully with your thumb like if you thought it was a d-pad on a nintendo joystick and if you were trying to do a hyrukin with ryu in street fighter motion as well. lol

The horn beeps when one of those buttons gets grounded. Cut the wires the the one that is causing it and you should be good to go

So this is what I did.... I unscrewed my grill to get to the horn, so that I didnt have to take off front bumper. I then pulled the cord out of the horn to turn it off. Then I put the fuse back in, and tested, everything works good now, just no horn.

When you have time, repair the switch in the steering wheel. The horn isn't just annoying, it's also a safety device.
