problem with my d16z6 on my 94 eg
there is a problem with my d16z6. and i am not sure what is it.. if anyone cant help out that would be great..
so here it goes.. i just recently did a swap on my eg. because i blew my old
d16y8. and there is something up with the new engine. it keeps cracking my radiators. there is alot of pressure getting built up on the hoses. i have changed the thermostat.. and it still keeps getting too much pressure on the hoses.. wht can it be??

Re: problem with my d16z6 on my 94 eg
Check the radiator cap. If not that, turn the car on and take the radiator cap off. Look for a BUNCH of REALLY tiny bubbles that just don't stop. That'd be the head gasket. (Or do a compression test or leak down, doesn't matter)
What size radiator are you using? Single or Dual core? I know my car (92 Si) came with a dual core radiator for the Z6 and when it finally cracked after 180k, I got a single core and there was definitely a good bit more pressure on the hoses and the motor itself was a lot hotter than with the dual core.
