Default problem with my civic...

i drive a 94 ex 5 speed, and i think my vtec is working T_T, but the thing is i can only take the car to 7k rpm, it will not go past that...i have the stock p28 ecu...my car is bone stock...what can be wrong? any inputs....also oil is up and fine, just changed it, along with new spark plugs and spark plug wires....

In my d16, I am pretty sure the redline was 7k.

prettyyyyy sure ur stock d16 redlines at 7200. dont kill it.

Even if the OP takes it to about 7k, there may be tach error, and his 7k may actually be 7.2k (or so). If this helps the OP.

No, I mean that many times the factory tach is a little bit off, so if the OP thinks they are hitting 7k, they might actually be hitting redline (7.2k).

yeah, its bouncing off...and yes i know that redline is at 7.2k and rev limit is at 7.5k...but im only going to 7k wth....when i first got the car...it was able to go to 7.5k...now it only goes to 7k?
