Default Problem with my brake sticking, ebrake doesn't fully release

Hi all,

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe with rear disk brakes from an SI. I've been noticing that my rear passenger side wheel often times gets really hot. While I was changing my suspension today I noticed that the ebrake wasn't holding the rotor down (I could turn it freely with my hand). It wasn't completely free though, as I heard and felt a little bit of friction. Comparing the movements of pulling the ebrake on either side, I notice that the passenger side mechanism has a significantly less range of motion/movement than the driver side, leading me to believe that somehow the passenger side ebrake line or assembly is getting stuck and not releasing all the way. I think whenever my brake was really hot, it was cause the ebrake didn't release completely on the passenger side. Any ideas?

thanks

Probably stretched out e-brake cables. I'd replace them.

Disconnect the cable from the caliper. Can you move the cable in and out easily?

Well, we took the e-brake cable off and the assembly still has limited movement so I don't think it's the cable

If the pins aren't seized replace the caliper.

do you know if the rear caliper from the SI is the same as the one from an integra?
