Default Problem with my 93 lx coupe

My 93 coupe is acting weird. When you turn over the key it turns on but when you bring the key back it turns off. It's an automatic by the way. It's like when you do it it has to turn back on acc. for it to keep on. Do I need a new ignition switch. My alarm has ignition kill but it's hooked up fine.

It is the electrical portion of your ignition switch.

You can crank the car, then let off a bit and then hold the key in the "crank" position and you can still drive the car.

You will have to hold the jey there for the car to stay on. If this is all true, then you need the electrical portion of the ignition switch.

Hopefully you can buy just that part, and not the whole ignition assy. with key cylinder, etc.

Good luck - was I right?
