problem getting car to start
alright yesterday i installed my new clutch and flywheel. well as you know to even get to the clutch you have to take a lot of things off. well when we put the car back together we saw a spark when putting the starter back on. then when i went to start the car it wouldnt. i kept trying and after giving it a little gas and a few minutes it finally started. so do you think that i need a new starter or a new battery or what? thanks in advance!

Re: problem getting car to start (blehboy)
shorting it like that, you could possibly have bliped the ECU. I wouldn't worry about that if the car ended up starting. If it starts fine now, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: problem getting car to start (92CivicSiR)
it still doesnt start up right away. also the longer the car sits with out running the longer it takes to start. i dont know what it is. also another thing that i have noticed if it takes a while to start there is a rotten egg type smell that comes from the engine area.
