Slow&Furious

after i installed my springs i noticed a wierd noise coming from the driver's side tire area. when i checked it, i noticed that the dust cover on the strut is really loose and it keeps hitting against the strut making a clanking noise. also, there is a wierd squeeking noise which i have not identified yet. i checked my strut again but i dont kno whats wrong. is the bumpstop on the strut supposed to b able to move up and down? and how is the strut supposed to b put back together? the way i have it now is the bumpstop, then a black rubber thing, a metal washer, the dust cover, another metal washer, and then i put the spring over that. then theres a metal washer and then the final nut. also, the nut on my driver's side nut goes down lower than on the passanger side. the noises r starting to **** me off. can ne one help?
