I did a rear disk conversion on my 00 dx hatchback a few weeks ago. I felt the car stopped differently at the first place, but didn't pay much attention to it, because i thought it was supposed to stop different than the drum setup. However, when i drove my cousin's 97 civic dx, with drums, it stopped MUCH better than my hb. The conversion consisted of swapping out the trailing arms with an si's, and replacing the MC with an si's. I have never changed the booster, nor the prop since research shows that the prop valve is the same as the si's. Does my problem lie on the booster? any help would be greatly appreciated

did you bleed the brakes properly..?? i had a problem like this too and it was cuz my brakes weren't bled 100% and in the right order on top of that....

Yeah man I did the same brake swap as you and my brakes were SOOOOO sluggish... So I bought a 15/16's civic MC and than re-bled the brakes from furthest away from the MC to closest "rear right, rear left, front right, front left" I believe was how I bled them and after that my car braked awesome..!! Also, introducing your brake lines to more/less pressure also creates air pockets on some occasions, which will in turn need to bled out so i'd say give the bleeding a shot since it's free and most likely your answer... If that doesn't work come back and i'll give you another step to try... GL man

That is the incorrect bleed pattern. According to the Helms service manual, you are supposed to bleed rear right, front left, rear left, front right.

lol thanks for all the replies, i followed the bleeding pattern from honda's manual exact same order like B18CivicEJ8 mentioned. My brake now brakes awesome!!@
