ok.. I just finished swapping the motor.. stock for stock ex (d16z6).. when I first started it, it fired right up.. I let it warm up, then I backed it out and took it down the street.. I made it about half a block, and it started bogging out and making a rythmic "hiss hiss hiss hiss hiss" sound that was only there at about 1500 rpm, and got louder with engine speed... this also made the car bog down...

so I took it back home, and went to bed.. the next morning, it wouldnt even start now.. It would just crank, and all I could smell was fuel.. no leaks.. just a gas smell.. so, suspecting a cracked injector or 2 (or 3 or 4), I took off the fuel rail and checked the injectors.. they were dirty, so I cleaned them and reinstalled them.. still nothing.. just gas smell.. so I decided to take off the intake manifold to check for any major vacuum leaks that would make it do this and also cause that "hiss hiss hiss hiss" sound.. nothing.. Im going to check the distributor in a bit when I get a volt meter, but what would cause this?

and FYI, i swapped the motor out, as it had 200k miles, and cracked the head.. so I got a long block from HAP in Rancho Cordova (a respected, and my personal favorite, honda wrecking yard)..

any ideas? haha.. im just dumbfounded..

maybe the injecters aren't firing in the right order. not to sure how to fix that but its an idea. or there is a problem with not getting any spark and the motor is flooded from trying to start it.
