Default Problem

In my 96 CX the stock gauge was swapped out for an EX gauge. The problem I have is that the SRS light is on out of no where. I unplug the battery, positive and negative for 5 mins. or so and its still on. Any idea on what could be the problem? No accidents have occured either.

How do I check that. The light just came on yesterday after I purchased the car about 1 month ago.

Pull the cluster out, and double check to see all the conection are still there.. IF they are check the fuses, then the wiring for the airbags. (just follow the wiring from the airbag to the main box.)

well since it was just a gauge swap from a CX to EX, no wiring changes were neccessary. i'd check the plugs to the underside of the seats and all the SRS connections/fuses. then do the reset, check out the link below for how to reset the SRS.
