Default price check: wrecked 92 dx hatch shell

Motor and tranny are still there and intact (the stock ones for that model), exhaust is still on it... gauges and dash have been gutted, along with a few plastic interior panels, ash tray, glove box, door panels, etc... Still has decent wheels and some bald tires on it.

Damage was on the front end from hitting a tree. Only thing that was hurt in the accident was the radiator and the driver side door.

To the point: Had a fella offer me 200 dollars for it today and I figured I could get more than that scrapping it. How much do these things typically run?

We bought a '98 EX with front end damage for $250. Not a bad price, but the core support was almost cupped around everything important. I don't think there was any damage to the engine though. We ended up selling it after parting some items off of it.

I'd say a 5th gen is probably about the same, though you might have trouble selling it in some areas over others.

Selling it whole you wont get much more than that, parting it out you can.

sure you can get more scrapping... but do you have the time and patience to do so?

The damage is on the front end, dead center where the car met a tree... But I really don't think you'd wanna come all the way to GA for a shell that isn't mint heh.

I just don't wanna let the car go for so little, mainly because it has a *very* low milage motor in it, approx. ~35k on it and the tranny is in great shape. If I pulled the motor, tranny, and wheels though then I'd probably let it go for 200 easy.

I think the car we had had something like 75,000. It was fairly low mileage IIRC.
