Hey guys, I was just wondering if a car can burn anti-freeze. Because I noticed that when I check my reserve of anti-freeze there wasnt any at all but their was in the radiator.

Cars CAN burn antifreeze if the headgasket is blown or the block/head is cracked. I would just refill it up to the cold maximum level on the container and recheck it in a week.

When my upper rad hose blew off in my 85 buick when it was overheating, it all went on the right exhaust manifold... didn't start a fire. What it did do is make a hell of a mess in the shop and my former boss's tool box...

Make sure the radiator is full, then fill the reservoir close to max. If after a trip or two the coolant from the reservoir is gone it either means you have air in the coolant system and need to add more coolant, or it's burning it.
If it does empty the reservoir on a few occasions, it's most likely leaking/burning it.
