Prelude Si vs 97 ex coupe
What kind of mods do i need to take that car? I am planning on a GSR swap, I/H/E. Will that do it? .....I am just getting sick of elitist prelude owners talking **** about civics because there are so many out there. WHAT IS WITH THAT?!?

my friend....a gsr swap alone will beat ur friend's Prelude Si....you should be expecting 15.0-15.3 quartermile time slips on a coupe....intake,header, and exhaust, will seal the deal at a 15.0-15.3..with good driving and on a good day..u might even touch 14.9....but with the swap..u shouldn't have any problem beating him....

P.S..im looking into the swap myself......hopefully by the end of this summer...

yea... go ahead and race him. I'm sure you can beat him. I think the 92 si's are sohc or dohc non-vtec so it should be a good match.

i hope you know how to drive. si's are pretty quick and torquey. the disadvantage is that they redline around 6500-6700. i forget.*shrugs*

Re: Prelude Si vs 97 ex coupe (dirtySOHC's)
yea i am sure ill run him sometime. GOtta get my engine first tho. and he needs to get his car first..... and YES, i can drive stick pretty damn well. I have been working on my double clutching and heel-toe shifting incase i ever need to do some real street racing I think my legs are too long to do a good heel-toe tho. My knee always hits the steering column...

Re: Prelude Si vs 97 ex coupe (hot_EF)
you are probably right, I might NEVER need to use it. But i figure it would be REALLY cool to know how to do, PLUS if you are down shifting hard, I will definately let you just smash your synchros, while I double clutch it and heal toe and pull you around the turn. .... BTW, GUDEH23, I have seen your car, only briefly upclose.....Id like to get a better look sometime...perhpas next time I see you over at mikes.

Re: Prelude Si vs 97 ex coupe (BigZ88)
My friend with a 2000 Prelude SH and an AEM cai was handed his *** to him by me. I have a 92 civic dx hatch with LS motor and gsr tranny. Go figure. It was a close race though, actually we raced 3 times he won once however that was due to my poor launch. BTW he ran 15.1 at the track.
