mine is atcually a 14mm and if I remember correctly the factory one is 17mm, I did keep the original plug. I dunno if magnetic plugs help or not, I never have any shavings on it but it def. can't hurt by having one either.

They are good for engines with a turbo. Everytime my friend changes his oil, you can see small shavings of metal in it. Best part about it is, he doesn't give a **** about it.
