Power windows on EG Si??

Are there power windows for EG Si? if so, do you know what year comes with it?

No, none of the USDM hatchbacks came with power wnidows or locks.

You have three choices;

-You can get the door panels from an EX and the window motors and hard wire everything
-Get the SiR door panels and equip and hard wire
-Go aftermarket

I really want the EX setup https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

yup, none of the EG hatch's have power windows.

I have power windows on my 92 cx though, aftermarket

stripes777 05-05-2003 02:00 PM

how much do the aftermarket sets costs, and are they new?
i see some people selling jdm power windows on ebay, but they looked kinda beat up

Re: (stripes777)

i'm not sure, i got hooked up with most of the parts. But it's not that cheap, i'd say 400 if not even more. The parts that'll cost you the most is the regulator then the motor to make the window go up. And unless you know what your doing installation is gonna cost ya

Mine work like a charm, go up and down smoooooooth https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I also have my buttoms right next to the e-break so it's easy to access

I recently put power windows in one of my friend's hatches... I went to the junk yard and got the regulator with motor attached... which also had the wiring and harness on it... grabbed the door panels of a coupe and wiring too... I paid 20 dollars for each door panel, 20 for both switches... and 50 for the regulators and motors the wiring i just shoved in my tool box = )

Re: (DDS_Trackracer)

Yea... Power Steering, Rear Discs, Cruise, Rear wiper, and lots of other heavy stuff.

No real luxury power options tho.

Re: Power windows on EG Si?? (fOmaNPu)

Arent the doors on the eg hatches and the doors off the eg coupes the same?, save yourself the trouble and get the whole door, you can get power mirrors and everything.

That is what I did with my EK dx hatch, I got me some SI doors that were the same color, now I have power locks, windows, and mirrors, and the mirrors and the door handles were painted the same color as the car, much cleaner, IMO.

Regulators are a bitch.

fOmaNPu 05-07-2003 10:49 AM

Yea, the EX doors are the same. It'd prolly be cheaper to find the doors, but you're still going to have to do the hard wiring. You're going to have to do the hard wiring no matter what. Good luck finding two EX doors in perfect condition though...

Re: (fOmaNPu)

i wish this post was here earlier.... i just gave away the whole setup (ex door panels, motor regulator, switches, and harness). its pretty easy to do. id hit the junkyard, look for an ex, and gut out the doors.
