Default power windows HELP

i bought a 96 cx hatch with power lock and power window conversion. after a few months the driver's side power window dun work... i took off the panel and one of the wire came off and i plugged it back in and i saw a spark... now both windows don't work... and i checked all the fuses and there weren't any blown ones... now i am stuck with 2 broken windows...
can anyone tell me what could be wrong?
would it be easier to just put in manual windows?

+1
I had the same problem, just spend time looking at all the fuses.
