Default Power steering vibrations :-(

Reciently, within the last month, I have noticed that I get a shaking in the steering wheel, at lower RPMs, it shakes side to side, when I just barely turn it to correct angle, and it is a little choppy when turning regular, I dont seem to notice this shimmy in the wheel when I hit the gas hard and keep going. This problem has gotten progressively worse over the last month, noticeably, but not to the point of it scares the crap out of me. I am just concerned something might be breaking or need work.

What could this be? PS fluid?

Might try cycling new fluid through the system.

Are you sure it's not your tires/rims? Have you replaced your power steering fluid lately? What kinda fluid did you use?

no I havent changed the fluid once, I am fairly sure it is the same stock stuff that came with it, but I got it used, end of lease from a woman, the vibrations stay the same frequency reguardless of speed, so I am fairly sure suspension and tires are not the cause.

I find it hard that your power steering would cause this while driving at all times.

if youre low on fluit itll make your steering feel jerky. Pop the hood and take a look at the fluid levels
