Yes it matters. Whether you want to use aftermarket or OEM is your choice (I would only use OEM personally), but there is a difference between regular power steering fluid and the power steering fluid that came in your car and should be in there all its life. It will say "For Honda/Acura Vehicals" on the bottle.

Yes, It does matter Im not sure if you can actually feel a difference but Honda fluid is specially designed for your power steering system cant go wrong with honda fluid. Only use another fluid if you absolutely have to look for a brand thats formulated for honda and acura vechicles.

I use Valvoline Dexron II for 3 years now and my steering feels great... when I did the change there was no Honda fluid anywhere so I just went to Valvoline...

It is great and I have NO PROBLEMS whatsoever...

But the thing is that I drained the whole system and put in the new fluid... I didn't just empty the white fluid can... the whole system must be emptied and then go with new fluid...

If you can get Honda fluid, go with that

As others have said, I'd personally only use OEM Honda fluid, but either way, you only want to use a fluid that specifically says "For Use In Honda/Acura Vehicles" on the front of the bottle. Almost any auto parts store will have this specific type of fluid.
