to add power steering you will need:
p/s pump
p/s hose
p/s bracket
resevoir
hard lines
p/s rack.
it's probably easier to leave it alone or buy a car with it.

Re: Power steering (nextgtr)
You can add anything to anything if you have enough time. But to answer your question yeah and its pretty easy too. You need the power steering rack, all the lines, power steering pump, bracket to mount it to the engine, crank pulley with the right amount of ribs on it to drive the pulley, a Belt, and some fluid. If you buy it new it can get pricey. I would check ebay and some junk yards for the parts. As for a guess it should probably be about $300. Plus labor if your not doing it yourself.

I'm assuming I have a honda civic cx(1996), and the steering wheel is very stiff. Does my model car come with power steering? Should i go to a mechanic to check perhaps?

Does P/S really way THAT much?!
I'm look for a Civic no-a-days and I am kinda wanting one with PS but do you think it would jerk a lot if you had a lightened flywheel and stage 2 clutch?

Maybe the aftermarket steering wheel is the cause of it?
I have a sparco steering wheel, and the car is aligned but the steering wheel isnt. It tilts to the right for some reason. Any idea how to fix it?
