power out a d16z6
hi i am tring to get some what power out of my d16z6 what i have done so far was get ported head intake exhaust headers cam ,camgears,upgrade whole ignition and for some reason i have a p28 ecu in my car and it redlines at 8k is there anything i could possibly do else beside building the bottom block

for some reason you have a p28 ecu? maybe that reason is because thats what came with the d16z6.....and no it doesn't red line at 8000rpms your tach is off they are you usually off 400-500 rpms so with that being said u have waisted your money on everything besides the cams cam gears and head. pull everything else off and turbo it otherwise look into b,h,f,k series.

Congratulations! You've just wasted a ton of money! Taking five seconds to search this site before you got wallet-happy would have uncovered the secret of making power on a Z6 - a motherfucking turbocharger.
Sell everything, take a MASSIVE loss on your investment and start putting together a turbo kit.

Header - 300+
Cam - 200+
Cam Gear - 100+
Intake - 150+
P&P - 300+
Ignition - 100+
And all of this is probably on the low side. Over 1k invested into a motor that could have alreay almost been turbo'd and putting down twice as much hp as the current mods.

well i didnt really pay for anything lol the head i got from a friend the exhaust i got 200 because my dad friend owns a exhaust shop the headers i got for free the cams cam gears i got for free to ignition came with the car i have only spent 200 and that was for the exhaust and my tac isnt off and my car didnt come with a z6 it came with nothing lol
