Power loss in a 96 Lx (D15y7)
my car has always been slow, but i don't think it is running right. here are the problems, at about 4500-5g's all power cuts off, first gear is quick, but after that i have nothing. i have been talking around with my buddies, and we this it might be my timing, maybe dirty injectors, or ignition stuff, but my plugs are new and so are the wires. i need help i get walked by everyone.

Re: Power loss in a 96 Lx (hondaciv3)
let me might add that my car does idles at verious speeds. some times it will be normal but alot of the time it is quite low. i waslooking a some stuff, and i thought maybe is might be my time belt is going and the tension is 2 tight, or my fuel pump is going. and do you have any idea what a compression test cost?

i have a 97 dx D16y7.. r u sure ur's is d15y7? and not d16? but mine is pretty much doing the same thing, check ur IACV, check ur cap and rotor, run a compresstion test (cost's about $20 for the compresstion tester.. and u can do that urself... check on here... http://www.c-speedracing.com and click on how-to u will find it)check ur fuel filter/lines/injectors... and if u haven't replaced ur timing belt or anything, i suggest u do that, it's not all the expensive i dun't believe...
