Default Power locks

I've recently bought a 2000 Civic CX hatch and it has a remote starter. The starter remote pad has buttons for power locks, but there are no actual power locks on the car. Though when I press the unlock button, something clicks in the car.

I was wondering if I could just rip off the motors at a scrap yard and plug them onto the remote starter control module, or that wouldn't work?

What probably clicks is the relay that's hooked up to the alarm. Not sure though.

That's what I did too, except I paid way more for the actuators.

The click is the remote starter switching over to unlock your doors. If you do not have power door locks then it will do nothing, so go get the cheep parts and hook your ride up.

Is it worth it to search for the actuators at scrap yard for a lower price or should I just buy them from the dealership?

Don't waste your money at a dealership. They are not out there to give people deals or reasonable prices. Go aftermarket if you want new; used just go to a junkyard.
