Default POWER DOOR WINDOWS/LOCKS on DX HATCH

Hey I have a DX hatch and i just came across an EX door panels with all the goodies, i.e. door actuators power switches, interior door panels, all the wiring harnesses. Now when i took of my door panel, the only thing coming from the car to the door were the 2 thin speaker wires. Can anyone tell me what i need to do to get the boot with the wire harness of the door to the fuse box or whatever i need to connect it to to get it to work. So what im saying is this is not a PLUG and PLAY situation and I need to rewire. But what do I need and how do I do it? Thank You all for your support.

You need to obtain the relays/servos as well they mount under the dash by the steering column, plus the wiring for the door(s).

Get a Helms book to view the picture of what I'm referring to.

It's not hard at all. Go to a junk yard and get the wiring harness from the doors into the dash. It plugs into the back of the fuse box and the power mirror switch (which you probably don't have)

To get the wires out of the wreaked car you will need to remove all the HVAC **** to get to them or just carefully cut the harness and pull them through (thats what i ended up doing) Cut the wires on a bias so that it's obvious what matches what when you re-connect them, two of them are exactly the same color.

To install the harness you will have to remove your fenders. Not too hard just be carefull of the paint on the edge of the door. Plug it into the back of the fuse box and add the required fuses and you're good to go.

P.S. how much did you get the EX stuff for? i ended up paying over $700 for all the required parts (which is more than I wanted to pay) but i'm a creature who likes his comforts so it was worth it.

Thanks. Well, No use for me cryin about it. I just couldn't get a hook up to save my life. Used honda parts here on the East Coast arn't much less than new. Its a total rip off.

I got the door panels new from the dealer though and they look great so i shouldn't complain.

Good luck on the project. E-mail me if you run into trouble.

Mike
