Im looking into a new brake set-up. Ive been mostly looking into the Fastbrakes 11" 4 piston kit and maybe the 11" kit with just the teg calipers.

Has anyone run these or a comparible system. This car will be used for track days/HPDE.

The car is a 92 civic dx hatch. The only current mod is axiss ultimates, and i will soon install rear discs.

any info is appreciated.

i like that setup, though cant run 14's with them!!

Im running gsr setup on my civic! works fine! I belive alot of those big break kits are over kill!

Yeah im not sure if the four piston kit will be overkill, but for teh money, it doesnt seem like a bad idea.

what size are the teg calipers......single piston, but what size?

Im not too worried about not being able to run 14's. Just as long as i dont have to run 16's. This is the reason i want to stick with fastbrakes.

I have itr 5 lug on my 92 cx with brembo drilled and slotted rotors. I think its a little overkill but I never have to worry about stopping as long as the tires hold.

I have the fastbrake 11.75 kit with wilwood superlite billet calipers, ats fluid and porterfield r4s pads. the combo will net about 11lbs in weight reduction. And I have no complains with them for the money I paid. I'm still running 15" volks with 43 offset. Just watch out when your tires are shot, during my last autox event, my Hoosiers are pretty much done (cored) and the brake locks up every where.

Is that a spacer that you added to your hub?

I am using GSR brakes on all 4 corners and they work great for autoxing....with a stock motor. Havn't autoxed with the swap but I am sure they will hold up just fine.

I have been looking at the fastbrakes kit as well. But refuse to run spacers or have to get different 15's.

im running legend rotors with nsx calipers up front and itr rear brakes stops pretty decent. oh yea and goodridge SS lines

What wheels require spacers? what are there any cons to these?

On the site they mention that most oem wheels will fit, which will not?

I currently have 15x7 K1s(42mm offset??)

what is the largest size rotor use can run with gsr cailpers (also off the subject but are integra front cailpers and rotors the same as 96-00 civic ex)

i have a question. say you get the big brake kit or the fast brakes 11" kit, since the Eg's are non-abs, wont that just make them lock up quicker? also, how much and how hard is it to be a ex abs conversion?

I'm running del sol rotors up front and i am thinking about running either integra rear discs or si discs in the rear. the del sols are 10.5" so the stop alot better then a stock dx brake. This is on a 00 civic hatch.

I've got my stock eh2 rotars up front and my GSR rotars in the back.. Stopping power is UNBELEIVABLE! 60 - 0 in like 1 second and like 10 - 20 feet.. its awesome! Stock eh2 master cylinder as well!

I swapped in Integra knuckles/hubs up front, then used 93-96 Prelude VTEC rotors and Calipers. This is an 11" (ITR sized) rotor with ITR calipers, yes same part #, plus it was CHEAP! Next is a rear disc install, from an Integra as well.
So I had loot leftover to go for stainless lines since my car is a 92 it made a bit of sense to replace the oem lines.
The braking is fantastic, and can withstand a lot of laps for trackdays... the car only weighs 2100 pounds but I have the brakes of a 2600 pound ITR !
I would like Wilwoods but man, they are still a bit pricey for performance I cant imagine feeling... but maybe I just dont know what I am missing... yet.

Now my only beef is that I must use 15" wheels, but I have a set of almost new 14" V700 on light konigs.. damn

how much did this set-up cost? Very interesting......are the type r calipers 2 piston or one? And are there any limitations to what 15's you run??

ABS kicks when your tires can no longer grip during extreme braking. So, locking has everything to do with your tires, and little to do with ABS. It does help though.

im running the stock cx brakes all the way around

im looking to swap them for gsr brakes this coming spring because the cx brakes just lock up on dry pavment and the car slides

i dont know whay they lock up so good and fast but i want to get gsr brake's anyways

I'm running an 11" fastbrakes front kit with wilwood 4 piston calipers and stainless lines. All stock other than that. Don't bother upgrading to this unless you can at least install an integra rs master cylinder and booster when you put the brakes on. These brakes also obviously shifted the brake bias hugely to the front. Here's a pic.
00 Si wheels with super mega hardcore jdm black finish and 6mm spacers. The fit is close, but it's not going to rub at all. Let me be the first to reccomend that when you add wheel spacers, please add extended wheel studs. That's something high on my priority list right now.
