Default possible header problems?

ok i just got a new header, it is an edelbrock 4-2-1 2 piece. i put it on and tightened everything down with the new header gasket and new donut. when i tried to start it up and right where the header meets the cat sounds really loud and im not sure why. is it suppose to sound like that? i have had a dc 4-1 that i also put on and never had that problem so im thinking it might just be the header. i got under the car and it doesnt sound like its leaking but when your in the car you can hear what sounds like a leak right in front of the shifter when i shift! thanks for any help guys!!!!!

did you check elsewhere? it might sound like it's coming from there, but it could be coming from the point where the two pieces come together or at the head.

also is your o2 sensor tight? could be leaking there.

did you use a gasket where the 2piece connect? also if you torque everything right it should be fine.

yeah i used the gaskets that came with the header. it really sounds like it is more right where the header meets the cat.
