Default possible to down agrdae a b-series vtec motor to a non vtec. For a goof of course

so i was thinking lets say you have a gsr bottomend or b16 bottom end, and a ls head. It should be possible to swap the non-vtec head over to the vtec block. Thus doing something like a reverse ls/vtec. This is only for a goof of course. Also another wacky thought if you blew your b-series motor in your Integra you could swap a d16 into the chassis just use all the civic mounts... Slow but one hell of a gas saving motor.

Yea, shouldnt be a problem at all, to throw an LS head on, kinda stupid, but its do-able.

As for SOHC in a DOHC car, ive seen a DC2 with a boosted D16z6 in it, which is really just retarded IMO, but just goes to show it has been done, i couldnt tell ya if it would line up right or not with the stock mounts tho

you could buy DC integras in japan with SOHC motors..no big deal..as far as the LS head on a VTEC block..should work, although im not sure which HG you would want to use.

my guess would be the hg for the block like with lsvtec setups.
someone explained it once that the oil flows from the bottom of your engine up, so if you have the wrong hg on and it block oil passages on the block the oil won't flow to the head.
my concern would be the oil passages themselves. you need to use special dowels for ls vtec setups so for an ls head on a gsr block...i don't have a damn clue.
O and an ls head on a b16 block would be a dohc zc
