Default Possible CV/Transmission seal leak

98' Civic EX (D16Y8) manual transmission

In the past 4 months I have replace Distributor o-ring + used black silicone between housing and head. New oil pan, valve cover and spark plug gaskets.Brought to a mechanic two days ago and he replaced both V-tech solenoid seals after noticing oil in that region and cleaned the engine fairly well. I just returned from a 3 hour trip (each way) last night put a metal drip pan underneath overnight. There are a few drop of oil at passenger side rear of engine. The drops formed an upside down U-shape on the pan. The mechanic told me the residual oil (very little) he couldn't get at should be dried up after my trip out of town.

I plan to degrease the engine tomorrow when it's cold using dawn/water and sponge. The previous drip before the v-tech gasket was worse and at two separate locations (rear of engine near middle and and passenger side). I believe there maybe a leak at the passenger side CV axle/ transmission differential. Wondering if anyone else with a worn or torn CV axle seal had the same upside down U-shaped oil leak formation?

You shouldn't bump this again until you've done this and identified the source of the leak.

Okay. I am also waiting to hear from the the mechanic as he may have checked those seals out a few days ago.
